Summer of Adventure

Sat Jul 4, 2009, 11:49 AM
Hey everyone

Ummmm I sort of lost my job, so I have not been able to afford paying :icongeorgesellas: for anymore character designs. This economy really sucks. This is only a minor setback. As soon as I get back on my feet I'll get back to getting character designs done.

UP was........AMAZING!!! simply AMAZING!!! Best Pixar film since The Incredibles. Cars was....pretty good. Ratatouille was really good. Wall-e was ok, but personally I found it a little boring. Kung Fu Panda was a much better movie IMO.

For the most part Pixar CGI Films are way better than anyother, but there are a few exceptions. Over The Hedge was way better than Cars, but that's just what I think.

Monsters vs Aliens was gimmicky and uninspired. The story simply did not exist. Ice Age 3D Dawn of the Dinosaurs was also really good.

Oh and Transformers 2 was not nearly as bad as all the critics make it out to me. Im not gonna sit here and say it was a great movie. I mean sure it was cheesy at parts and Michael Bay does seem to go over the top. I think the Transformers movies are good despite Michael Bay and not because of him. Cool Giant Robot fights and action, Megan Fox and Shia Labeouf is a great actor. It was also pretty damn funny.

Ummm ok thats it. Happy 4th of July everyone.

I am a Geek, plain and simple. I don’t apologize for it, I’m not ashamed of it and I’m proud of it. I am a total fan boy. I’m talking Sci-Fi, Superheroes, Comic Books, Video Games, Animation and Action Figures.

I have a strong, defining sense of identity. I know who I am and I like who I am. I have strong morals and I’m an idealist. I tend to see the good in people and take them at face value and give them the benefit of a doubt. I still believe that people are essentially good, selfless and decent. Perhaps that makes me clueless and naive, but I refuse to live in a cynical world.

I am an aspiring filmmaker and screenwriter. I have a strong passion for film making. I went to Film school and graduated with an Associates Degree. Right now I’m simply looking for work, but it's not easy. I have had to struggle a lot.

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to become a filmmaker. I love movies. I want to write and direct. My interest lies in Epic films. I’m talking about adventure and Sci-Fi films. I’m not big into the whole Indy film making thing; my ideas are big and require big budgets. I want to make big epic adventure films. I’m drawn to stories about heroes. Epic, selfless bigger than life heroes. These are the kinds of films that I want to make.

Alas I've hit a snag and things have not been working out as I'd hoped.Finding work has been impossible. It's getting really frustrating. It seems that every time I get close to getting a decent job it gets pulled out from under me...sigh! Anyway I've decided to go back to collage and get my degree in Radiology. I'm going to be a X-Ray Tech. There's good demand for this and I can do it at practically any hospital or clinic in the country. This does not mean I have given up on my dream however. It's just on hold for the moment.

So that's pretty much it.

Hey man,
just browsing around and came across your stuff. Those Star Hawk sketches are great... Lots of character in those faces and nice solid poses. Very animatable indeed!
Keeping you on a watch just to be safe!
