DUKE HUDSON quickly raised up the ranks of the Army when he joined up. He quickly became a Colonel.

In the late 1930's Duke Hudson is assigned to a special unit of the United States government called the United States Covert Actions, whose headquarters is located inside Mount Rushmore, and is headed up by General Flint Claybourne.

He is the one man you can count on to get the job done anytime, anyplace, anywhere. A strapping man about 6'1" and 200 pounds, he was a former athlete in high school before joining the Army. Duke is also a man who is proficient in various forms of military combat and weapons training, but is eager to learn new techniques whenever the situation calls for it. Duke is also the one person that can adapt to any situation all over the world, whether if it's battling the Nazis, the Japanese, or their allies, which makes him the USCAS's top operative on the field. Duke is also quite the ladies man, which at times gets him into trouble during missions. But, one thing that affects him greatly is the suffering of innocents. He hates to see innocent people suffer and has a strong and solid moral code.

All in all Duke is an all-around good guy, selfless, heroic, amiable and noble who will make the ultimate sacrifice for his country and the Allied cause.

This is an original character I created that was inspired by the pulp heroes of pulp comics and Saturday serials of the 1930's and 40's. His name is Duke Hudson. He is an American secret agent fighting the axis powers (Nazis, Japs and Italy) during WW2. It's sort of like Indiana Jones meets James Bond. His Adventures are epic and diverse ranging from Science Fiction to the Supernatural.

I drew Inspiration from many different sources to create this character.

The main inspiration came from Pulp Heroes of the 1930's and 40's. Characters like Doc Savage and Tom Strong which is actually a character created recently, but was himself inspired by Doc Savage. In fact most of the major influences for Duke Hudson were themselves inspired by these Pulp heroes. I was influenced by Indiana Jones, The Rocketeer, Sky Captain and even Hellboy.

He was designed, drawn and colored by the great George Sellas. Check him out here

He came out way better than I expected him to.

IS Flint Clayboune a combination of Dashiell Fairborn and Clayton Abernathy?

Awesome! I spotted the Doc Savage influence immediately. We need more retro material of such superior quality.
